A quiet ukulele player and his talkative manager struggle to realize their artistic vision in this comic story of loss and friendship.
I made this film back in 2011 with my friend Joe Bookman. He wanted to make a movie about a hot air balloon ride. I pitched him a story about a voice actor who specializes in erotic fiction audiobooks. Our film The Agony and Sweat of the Human Spirit was the result of combining those two ideas.
The Agony and Sweat of the Human Spirit screened at Cannes (as part of Cinéfondation), Slamdance, and at several other film festivals.
